Okay Be Blessed Community… I know it’s been awhile since we’ve met and blogged about our memorization of Psalm 119!  How’s it going?

I’ve been working on the second set of 8 verses.  Hopefully by next week I can add another video of me reciting verses 1-16.  If you don’t know what the Be Blessed Challenge is, I have challenged all of you to memorize Psalm 119.

Today I want to focus on reading God’s Word.  Mandy, From the Trenches of Motherhood, has a great tip that she got from John MacArther.  I think it will work for me too!  What about you?  Do you struggle with a good method of reading the whole bible?   I do!  Read her post below and feel free to go visit her blog when you are done.  You won’t be disappointed.  It has some awesome stuff on it!

I desire to grow in my relationship with Jesus Christ and there are two very important things that help me know Him more and more. The first is reading His Word – the Bible – and the second is through spending time in prayer.

To help me be consistent in my Bible reading I have borrowed the plan that John MacArthur uses and you can watch this video where I vlog about it and explain the details.

For those of you who want to join me in this plan, here is the written layout of which book of the New Testament I will read each month. I have listed this year’s schedule and will post the remaining list when I have chosen the order.

2010

January – Philippians
February – Titus
March – Matthew
April – 1 Peter
May – Mark
June – 2 Peter
July – 1 Timothy
August – Luke
September – 2 Timothy
October – John
November – 1 Thessalonians
December – 2 Thessalonians

Just a side note, for the bigger books – like next month with Matthew – she will divide it into 3 sections and read each section for 10 days so she is still reading the whole book over and over in a month 10 times rather than 30.
