It was kindergarten, the year of 1985. I can still smell the aroma in that lunch room. Grilled cheese sandwiches, tacos, and cleaning supplies. Can you smell it too? Every lunch room seems to smell the same.
I sat across the table from her; my new best friend! We thought we were so cool… her and I. I’d bring grape juice and she’d bring milk and vice versa.
We’d mix them together and call it Purple Cow! Oh, it was nasty for sure… but we’d never admit that. We loved our special creation.
Do you remember your early years in school? Did you have that special best friend?
Chrissy was mine. She has a new blog over at The Wise Homemaker. Consider dropping by and encouraging her by following her blog, subscribing, like her site on fb, and/or leave her a comment? Tell her a “purple cow” at Ordinary Inspirations sent you, wink wink.
Thanks for visiting!

EWW! But then I know I did some crazy things too. However, things done with a friend just seem all the better somehow. 🙂
How fun that you are both still in touch!

That does sound like quite the concoction. I will check out your friend’s blog but I think I will pass on the purple cows.
