That Awful 6-Letter WORD

July 29, 2010 by Traci

C-H-A-N-G-E.  I hate change, but I want it in my life.  Stagnant Believers make the waters of the Christian faith putrid.  The water becomes murky and questionable.
Lord, help me to be changed, from the inside, out… by you.  Let others see YOU LORD, when they look at my life.  Let my life bring you glory, and not shame.
I don’t like the unfamiliarity of change, but I like it when I can see things moving in my life.  Stagnant water just sits.  A still pool of dirt and muck. All that can be seen is a cloudy mess of stank sewer water.
I want to be a flowing brook of fresh Spring water, a top God’s beautiful mountain.  What about you?

What is it that God wants to change in your life?  A closer walk with Him?  A better, healthier lifestyle?  More organized, balanced living?  Seek Him First (Matthew 6:33).  Ask Him to make the change from the inside – out.
Hillsong United – From The Inside Out
A thousand times I’ve failed – Still your mercy remains – And should I stumble again – Still I’m caught in your grace -Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades – Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame – My heart and my soul, I give You control – Consume me from the inside out Lord – Let justice and praise, become my embrace – To love You from the inside out – Your will above all else, my purpose remains – The art of losing myself in bringing you praise!

Sounds so much like my friends new devotional book, “Life is Fluid” by Marcy Lytle. Change seems to me the word for our life right now…yes, consume from the inside out!

Point of Grace “Begin with Me” is a great song to listen to! It’s not a “new” song but still a great one:) Thanks for a great reminder on the importance of “running a good race”. We can’t be stagnant if we are active and moving!
    Happy Thursday

Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue, a gentle b Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue,
a gentle breeze blows through fresh, new blooms.
Your time is fleeting, yet faithful,
a promise of beauty each spring.

Gifting petals that fall to the earth,
You are waiting for me to visit you.
Basking beneath warm shadows,
Deeply breathing in nature’s favorite perfume.

A legacy of faithful promise,
Graceful, elegant, familiar and kind.
As the sun streams through branches,
Your reflection twinkles and twirls,
Leaving your dance card upon my heart.

You whisper, come linger a little longer,
No need to be in such a rush.
Through storm clouds, torrential rain,
and those picture perfect days,
You continue your steady climb toward the heavens.

Your limbs grow stronger, your roots deeper still.
Your humble beauty speaks for itself.
No need to shout, nor beg for attention.
You hold the secrets of many who return year after year,
Who sit beneath your branches,
and find healing to bloom as well.
