***UPDATE: We will plan to meet every Thursday. There will be an opportunity for you to link up with updates on how things are going, encouraging results in your journey, and the opportunity for you to share tips on how you memorize scripture.***

I’m super excited about the vision God has given me for this, but even more, the response from all of you wonderful women!

If you have no clue what I’m talking about, Read Here.

A few things:

1. A lot of you, in your nice sweet way, have called me crazy , out of my mind, a little far fetched for taking on such a challenge.

My response: Don’t focus on the “task” of memorizing the whole chapter. That can be overwhelming. Even if you end up memorizing just 8 verses out of the whole chapter; that’s great! That is 8 more verses that you have hidden in your heart. That is 8 more verses that you can call to remembrance when you are in a deep, dark valley of life. That is 8 more verses that will redirect your heart and mind, to think on the heavenly, not the earthly.

2. Do you want me to do a post about it weekly? A “link-up” style, where we can all encourage one another, give testimony of how the Lord is working through this challenge in your life? Maybe some ways, tricks, tips that you have that help you memorize God’s Word?

3. I have updated the button (made it a bit smaller for your sidebar). Also, it will include all the posts relating to this challenge. See new code below:

4. I would LOVE to add your name/blog link to a “community list” on this post if you would like to join. Please let me know if I can add you, by commenting below. Thanks girls!

    Hi Trsci!

What a cute blog you have! I love the little “hus” graphic at the bottom. That is adorable!

Thanks for your comment about my burlap tablecloth. I just buy the burlap at Joanne’s fabric store or I have also found it at Hobby Lobby. Probably any fabric store would carry it.

I hope you are having a great weekend!

    XOXO

I would love to join up with you lovely ladies. I have memorized Psalm 119 (a few years ago) and have been reviewing it this week. I came upon your site and think this would be a great way for me to keep the Word in my (50 year old) brain.

Let me encourage you if you are tackling this for the first time, it can be done! Just bite it off 8 verses at a time. I love this chapter and have been blessed many times by it.

Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue, a gentle b Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue,
a gentle breeze blows through fresh, new blooms.
Your time is fleeting, yet faithful,
a promise of beauty each spring.

Gifting petals that fall to the earth,
You are waiting for me to visit you.
Basking beneath warm shadows,
Deeply breathing in nature’s favorite perfume.

A legacy of faithful promise,
Graceful, elegant, familiar and kind.
As the sun streams through branches,
Your reflection twinkles and twirls,
Leaving your dance card upon my heart.

You whisper, come linger a little longer,
No need to be in such a rush.
Through storm clouds, torrential rain,
and those picture perfect days,
You continue your steady climb toward the heavens.

Your limbs grow stronger, your roots deeper still.
Your humble beauty speaks for itself.
No need to shout, nor beg for attention.
You hold the secrets of many who return year after year,
Who sit beneath your branches,
and find healing to bloom as well.
