Believe Them When They Say…

October 26, 2009 by Traci

Cherish every moment… It goes by WAY TOO QUICK…

My baby girl turned 3 yesterday…
The thing is, she’s not a baby anymore,
she is a little girl!

Potato sack races…

Painting carousel horse sun catchers…

Selling popcorn and pretzels . . .

Carousel, “merry-go-round” cake

Opening gifts…

Today I’m remembering…
The day you were born;
how your daddy wrapped his big arms around you,
an how it was love at first sight!

Remembering…

How I couldn’t believe you were mine!
That we had finally “met” and what a gift you were!

Remembering

the way you smelled…
Someone really needs to “bottle” baby scent!

celebrating your 1st Birthday

Your first cake

Remembering when we celebrated your 2nd birthday,
and how Daddy asked you to marry him

Snuggling once again;
your flushed, worn out party-girl face against my
flushed, worn out mommy-party-girl face

Your Princess Cake

And here we are, you are 3,
and such a special, tender hearted, big girl!

And it warms my heart to know,
that you will be a great Mommy some day.
I love watching you “mother” your dollies!

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue, a gentle b Blushing with your delicate, rosy hue,
a gentle breeze blows through fresh, new blooms.
Your time is fleeting, yet faithful,
a promise of beauty each spring.

Gifting petals that fall to the earth,
You are waiting for me to visit you.
Basking beneath warm shadows,
Deeply breathing in nature’s favorite perfume.

A legacy of faithful promise,
Graceful, elegant, familiar and kind.
As the sun streams through branches,
Your reflection twinkles and twirls,
Leaving your dance card upon my heart.

You whisper, come linger a little longer,
No need to be in such a rush.
Through storm clouds, torrential rain,
and those picture perfect days,
You continue your steady climb toward the heavens.

Your limbs grow stronger, your roots deeper still.
Your humble beauty speaks for itself.
No need to shout, nor beg for attention.
You hold the secrets of many who return year after year,
Who sit beneath your branches,
and find healing to bloom as well.
