Not only are we entering a new year, we are embarking on a new decade. Does that excite or terrify you? For me, it’s exciting. There are plenty of negative things I could focus my attention on, but I refuse to. There is way too much beauty to behold, adventures to be had, and people to love.
So open the curtains and let that light in! Don’t stay in the dark any longer. Look to the future with hope and excitement. If you’ve had a hard year, hard month, hard week… I’m sorry! Feelings will always surround us, heartache is ever upon us, and sometimes life just stinks! BUT –
What do you have to be truly thankful about? Who is it in your life that will no longer have a say on your bright outlook? What bitterness do you need to uproot and discard? There’s so much healing to be done in 2020.
The Lord has brought my one word to me and it’s WORDS. Words have so much power. I want my words in 2020 to be only:

KIND
GOSPEL-FOCUSED
ENCOURAGING
HOPEFUL
