I watched this nine minutes and it was one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. To have this type of marriage, that stands the test of time takes work, selflessness, and a life of just enjoying one another! It was too precious how he said, “I just can’t believe she is gone. It’s like a dream, I miss her so much.”
To miss someone that much, takes a lifetime of making memories together. It takes the good, the bad and the ugly to draw two hearts together, not apart.
So, to you and I, I say this…
No matter what state your marriage is in today, work on your friendship. Work on laughing together. Yes, work at it. Work on forgiveness. Work on having fun, and the intimacy that comes from this kind of love is bound to rise to the surface!
So here’s to you, Babe… may we always joke and be silly together, even into our 90’s… may we always be good forgivers and grace-givers, may we never stop saying “my love” and other endearing phrases, may we always keep our friendship close and Jesus at the center.
