1. A Fun Woman
Remember your fun years? Maybe it has been awhile since you’ve thought of yourself as fun, but she’s in there somewhere. Think of some ways that would describe you as a fun woman. It doesn’t mean changing who you are, or trying to become someone you aren’t. How can the “you” remain, but will a little bit more adventure and excitement?
2. A Sexy Body
Ha! That’s the last thing we feel like most days. Sexy. What’s that? I’m not saying we have to spend endless hours in the gym, go on that current fad diet, but do find your sexy side. Your husband loves your body just the way it is, he just need you to let him love it. Don’t shy away from his touch. Embrace the fact that God created your husband to love your body. Learn to love what makes you a woman. Maybe it’s those curves you hate, or that extra fluff from babies; it’s all beautiful. You are beautiful.
3. A Friend
Our husbands need us to be their friend. They need to know that we are going to be there and support them. Friendship in marriage is key! If we can’t communicate as friends, we won’t communicate as lovers.
4. A Woman Who Laughs
Laughter is so beautiful. When a wife can wholeheartedly laugh in front of and with her man, it’s gorgeous. It means she has let her guard down. She has relinquished her failures of the day. She has put the laundry and the dishes and the many demands of children on the shelf to sit and laugh with her man. Some of the best dates my husband and I have been on are not ones that we’ve spent a lot of money, or went to an exotic resort, but two people sharing and laughing together, in a car parking lot with our feet up on the dash.
5. A Confident Person
I’m thinking that your husband loves your confident side. The side of you that dreams, hopes, and presses on towards what the future holds. I know he finds that amazing in you. It appeals him to know that you welcome what the future holds. Find that confident woman again. Many times just the demands of the day, and the weariness we feel, can make us discouraged about the future, let alone the rest of today. He’s scared too. He wants to lead your family well, and he has his own fears. Being confident and willing to walk hand in hand, with the we’ve got this look in your eye will mean everything to him.
6. A Dedicated Mother
The day you gave birth to that beautiful creature, your husband’s love for you grew exponentially! The way you are with your children, and all you do for them, it’s phenomenal. Motherhood is hard and sometimes it’s all sorts of ugly. There are days where all you want to do is vent to your husband about your children, and all the trying things that happened in the course of your day. That’s needed. Sometimes. But what’s needed more is for him to see you succeeding as a mother. Raising little ones to love and respect God and others. Making wholehearted strides to do all you can do invest in their lives. I know there is a lot more I can be working on, how about you?
7. A Faithful Supporter
He has so many people that may second guess him. You be the one who will always and boldly say, I believe in you!
8. A Content Person
You are a person. Before you were a wife or a mother or anything, you were you! God created you special. He weaved all those amazing parts of your soul and body and mind together to make you! Learn to be content with the you He thought was best. A content woman is all sorts of spectacular!
9. A Thankful Heart
Are you thankful today? How do you show your husband that you are thankful? The best way is to not always be asking for more. Put the expectations away. How can you thrive in your thankfulness today? A thankful wife makes a happy home!
10. A Passionate Lover
The best way to be a passionate lover, is to learn from the one who created intimacy! God, your Heavenly Father, wants an intimate and close relationship with you first and foremost. He is a jealous God who wants all of you first! When you and I walk closely with our Heavenly Father, we are free to relax and loosen up in all other areas of our life (including the bedroom). A women’s mind is huge when it comes to loving our husbands well behind closed doors. If our mind is discontented, unthankful, worried, exhausted, and without her close union with Christ, she cannot freely give all of herself to her husband.
