Sometimes I (sinfully) entertain negative thoughts of the “what ifs” in life.
What if something ever happened to my husband? Lord, how could I possibly go on.?
Oh Lord, what if something ever happened to one of my children?
The fact is, I need to daily cultivate my relationship with HIM, so much in fact, that I LOVE HIM far above family, time, or possessions.
Do I trust that He holds my very breath in the palm of His hand?
Do I choose to honor His Sovereignty and release the white-knuckle control of my life, over to Him?
The thing is… He is God. There is no changing Him. It is my job just to trust that He does know best.
Do you struggle with this? Loving other earthly things (especially the people most dear to us) more than God?
God can take anything away from us in an instant… then what?
Will we {I} still choose to trust and honor Him?
