When I serve the Lord, it can make me weary,
down right drained,
leaving me scooping up every last ounce of strength in my “reserve tank”.
You’ve been there, right?
This week was no different; but,
GOD put His big, comforting arm around my shoulder, and,
in His still small voice beckoned:
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh;
is anything too difficult for Me?”
Jeremiah 32:27
Just when I thought I could not go on, I saw these faces gazing back at me:
Where have I been all week?
Being blessed with a capital “B”!
I got the PRIVILEGE to serve in our Vacation Bible School Sports Camp.
Here are some of our precious 1st Graders:

with their water bottles!
So, when I am tempted to forget,
when the devil tries to whisper that it was all in vain,
I will remember …
these faces that have forever put their imprints upon my heart:
For when you serve the Lord,
you GET BACK much more than you GIVE.
I know I did!
For He gave me
beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning,
the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that HE might be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3
