This post is not intended to make you feel guilty if you choose to boycott Target or any other organization that you disagree with. That’s your right.
My previous post 10 Things I’m Doing Instead of Boycotting Target was a post about what I’m choosing. I’ve learned over time I don’t want to dictate what others should do. Each one should listen to the Spirit’s leading, and then follow in obedience. Each of our relationships with the Lord are just that… personal.
What God is showing me over time is Grace Wins. It may not look like it at the time. It may look like to others that I’m settling, or giving in, or not standing up for truth. No. I am choosing to let God be big enough to fight the battles. I know that prayer can change a heart many times faster than I can signing a petition. Can we have a part in that? Sure. But it must be done with love. It must be filled with grace. We must examine our own hearts first.
Along this amazing sanctification journey, I’ve learned one big lesson.
Traci, examine your own heart first. Is there sin woven amidst a faulty tapestry of beauty? Do you, who want to call out your sister in Christ for her own sin, are at the same moment forgetting to confess your own?

Traci, aren’t you thankful that I didn’t boycott the well?
And so He led me to John 4. With a humble and open heart I read these words about Jesus, my Savior.
Verse 4- He had to pass through Samaria. He was tired from His journey and decided to sit down beside the well. He chose to go to Sychar where He knew that He would encounter this woman.
Verse 7- The Samaritan woman came to draw water and He spoke to her. He asked her for water.
Verse 10- He didn’t get up and leave and use a different well, He looked her in the eyes and spoke to her in love. He spoke to her about the living, eternal water.
Verses 13-15:
13 Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” 15 The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”
Verse 25:
25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”
If we were to boycott everything that went against God’s Word, we would have to sit in our home and never come out again. We are to be in this world but not of it (don’t partake). In 1 Corinthians 5:9-10 it talks about this:
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
Take time to pray about what you should do first. But could I make a suggestion to pray that God gives you a heart of grace in the process.
