Devotion time is very special in my heart. I remember having many discussions as a family, surrounded around God’s Holy Word. I’ve been looking for something that will spark more in depth discussions with my daughter.

I got this book, God’s Amazing Creatures, & Me, in the mail just a couple weeks ago. I can’t even begin to share with you what a blessing this little book is! On one side, it gives some educational information about a particular animal (45 in total). On the other side, it has a short, and very applicable devotional to read with your children. There is also a special question at the end, to get your child thinking. It causes them to see themselves, as beautiful in God’s eyes! There is also a memory verse to go along with each devotional.

Let me tell you, I’m learning some things about animals that I never knew (and I am, {gasp} 30 years old)! Did you know that no two Zebras have stripes that are the same? Just as each child of God is special and unique in His eyes!

Too busy for a set family devotion time? Here are some very practical ways/places to use this book:

1) At the table during meal time
2) During a long car ride
3) Lingering potty time?
4) How about before you go to the Zoo?
5) Why not read the book outside, and go on your own family scavenger hunt around your house. What are some of God’s amazing creatures that your child can find, right in your own backyard?
