As I listed to Phil Vischer speak tonight (and do all of the amazing Veggie Tales voices) at the Allume conference, I was amazed to hear him talk about his real life fame (high moment in life) to his low, (bankruptcy). He had many profound quotes in his speech, but one hit me the hardest ( you know the kind where that ball in your throat threatens to make you utter an ugly cry and you choke it back):

“If you can willingly put your dreams on the alter and live without them, in His will, you are ready to be used by Him!”

And then the wonderful Sarah Mae got up and spoke about keeping your real life, and not letting the online world become an idol. This song speaks to my heart and I so can’t help worshiping. True worship comes when you sit alone and wait for God to whisper. It’s the blisters on your knees from being on bended knee. It’s being all consumed by Him, not this world or the things in it. Please take a moment to listen to this song if you haven’t already.

We must not worship something that’s not even worth it

Clear the stage, make some space for the one who deserves it.
