Beaming,
rosy cheeks

pressed together,

fixed with love;

a heart that is finding rest.

A tender kiss

is added,

to say “you matter”;

a heart that is making time to rest.

It may be simply stopping

quietly reading a book together,

getting lost in a world of
bunnies,
bears,
and veggie tales;

a heart that is truly enjoying this thing called rest.

Creating special memories,
tucked together under cozy, cotton sheets.

Tiny folded fingers clutched together,
sparkling eyes, squinted shut;

with a quick ‘peek’
to see if I am still closing mine;

a heart that is finding rest,
and adoring all its beauty!

God desires that our hearts would “sit down” today…

Spend time with Him,

cheek to cheek,
