I’m learning a lot. Sometimes it’s painful. You know, the stretching process where the will according to my flesh and God’s sovereign will are tugging at each arm. Ouch.
I’m learning…
{KIDS}
Having 3 kiddos is hard stuff!
There’s really no time for me to be selfish… I’m trying to break these characteristics in my children.
{FOOD}
Eating only to satisfy my hunger and not eating to satisfy my soul.
I’m doing The Lord’s Table free online bible study and it has been life changing!
Even the pace at which I lose weight is in God’s hands and all for His glory. It’s ALL for His glory.
{MARRIAGE}
Marriage takes work.
I want to speak life-giving words into my husband’s life. I want make constant investments not withdrawals. It takes work… both on the wife and the husband’s part. We are a team. Good teamwork isn’t birthed through one-man goals, but full of gentle and selfless assists.
{LIEF}
Life can be overwhelming.
God’s reminding me to only take one day at a time. He’s showing me that if I simply hand my day back to Him, He will take care of the details.
{MANAGING A HOUSE}
Housework is never ending.
I’m learning to stick to a simple schedule and not sweat the small stuff. Housework will always be there, but the Summer of 2012 with my kids will not. I’m learning that sitting poolside with kiddos watching them splash is sometimes a more worthwhile investment.
{GOD’S WORD}
God’s Word is powerful.
Each time I make a choice to be obedient and open my Bible I’m blessed! Do you want blessings? Open your Bible whenever you have the opportunity!
{PEOPLE}
Friendships go through seasons.
I told my husband the other day I didn’t feel like I had a best friend right now. I corrected myself as quick as the words came out of my mouth… “well, besides you, Babe.” I’m learning that friendships go through seasons as we are raising our babes.
{SOCIAL MEDIA}
It can be a double-edged sword.
It can breathe life into me and also zap the life out me. Don’t place your worth or dependence here… it is fleeting and fickle at best.
{FEARS}
They will only hold me back.
Sometimes it takes running and jumping without any hesitation… because you know the One who will catch you.
Thanks for visiting!
