Sad to say, this is how I look sometimes. Like a selfish baby. We try to act and look like we are doing “spiritual things”, when in fact, we aren’t willing to get down and dirty and do the hard things in our Christian walk.
This video is pretty hilarious… I found it on You Tube today. Watch it and you will get a good laugh… and maybe it just might strike a cord in your soul… like it did me.
Thanks for visiting!

Talk about hitting home…
I’m thinking back to a couple of weeks ago. Me in the kitchen. Beckoning littles to “help” make Christmas cookies. Then, becoming exasperated that cookies didn’t look “perfect”, flour was all over the kitchen and the kids, timer beeping on the oven while I’m covered in sticky cut-out dough…
…hate to say it, but I’m sure I sounded just like this guy claiming to be all about family!
My New Year’s Resolution for 2011 (acually, my “word” to live by)…
GENTLE.
To be gentle with myself, with my kiddos, with my spouse, just as Christ is gentle with me and my many shortcomings!
Blessings to you,
Val

Growing in faith is not always pretty!!!! I think we all have our up and down, our family sees us and knows what we really are.
we can sugar coat our post and blog, but they know the real “us”
But mostly God knows us, he knows us even better then them!!!! He sees our heart, he knows our taught,(psalm 139)
He sees what nobody else sees and what we are often blind about our self or how we even lies to our self (and dare believe those lies)
I try to takes those verses and makes then a prayer
“Test me Oh Lord, and know my heart, see if there is any offensive way in me and lead me to the way everlasting” psalm 129:23-34
It’s not always easy

I know what you mean. Don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s easy to do.
Loved the video. 🙂

I couldn’t stop laughing! I loved this. How often do we attempt to have those wonderful “Walton-like” moments? The reality is often less than perfect. I am now working in a school setting teaching 18 three year olds. Nothing seems to go as planned. You gotta have a sense of humor! Thank you for sharing.
Blessings and love,
Debbie
