Sarah Mae challenged us to get up (yes, first we must get out of bed), and then shower and get dressed for the day (do our makeup/hair/put on a nice shirt and pants/skirt).
I loved this challenge, because, first of all… I love to be challenged!
Second of all, I love Sarah Mae.
Thirdly, I think that when we dress better as “Mommy” we feel better about our job and duties for the day. If you want some tricks to Feeling Pretty As Mommy, click my other post here.
Well, this week was great! I have to tell you, most mornings I was getting dressed with one eye opened. I’m NO MORNING PERSON!
But afterwords, and throughout my day, I had so much more energy and vibrancy about me! I love being home with my kiddos! It is the best job I’ve ever had. I believe that I should take it seriously, and dress the part! With God’s help, and your encouragement, I will continue.
It’s also been nice to “look nice” for my hubby when he gets home! Our family deserves our very best, don’t they!
1) DownEast Basics has AWESOME clothing! I didn’t win the giveaway, but I think I may just purchase this FAB skirt:
2) I learned about MYSTIC TANS! Hello! I need to get me a mystic tan!
3) I learned how we can/should submit to our husbands, even when they aren’t always the spiritual leader we envisioned them to be. (and how to put away our holier-than-thou attitude…. cause hey, we are FAR from perfect ourselves). Love me some Courtney!
4) Applying Eyeshadow, 101. Who knew it could be so much fun!
So, these pictures below (minus the above the head shots), were taken by my lovely 3 year old, Riley Elisabeth. Compliments to a future, spastic-crazy-obsessed-wanna-be photographer, folks! (following in my footsteps, of course):
(I did my makeup and was dressed nice by 7:30 am. . .
