This morning, I’m pondering the concept of sharing Christ my daily life, thanks to Melody, who blogs and stitches over at Hooking Stitches. She asked, at 5:16 Gals, how we share Christ in our daily life.
For me, it comes down to staying close to the Lord, each and every day. If I don’t read my bible and/or am simply not communing with Him through prayer, I just don’t have the desire to share Christ.
Isn’t that horrible! I’m so fleshly, and I’m sure you all have been there. I love my Heavenly Father more than anything; BUT, if I don’t make time to cultivate my relationship with Him, it affects even my very desire to speak His precious name, with boldness and confidence.
That is why this verse, 1 Peter 3:15, is so very meaningful to me!
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.
Only when I am in beautiful communion with my Lord, am I able to speak boldly about my Lord, with confidence, with passion, and with fervency.
Can He use us in some capacity in a fleshly state? Of course! That’s His wonderful grace. BUT, don’t you want to have the freshness, that newness, that wonderful excitement to share about Him that you did when you first accepted Him in your life?
What’s the secret? Meet with Him daily, in prayer and reading of His Word. Then, you and I will see, that He will simply overflow out of us, like a fountain of living water, to a dying and hopeless world!
It won’t feel like a chore to share Him, it will be a joy!

I agree. It takes time invested to get to know someone enough to share about them with someone…it is the same with our relationship with Christ. We have to spend time with Him to know about Him & be able to share confidently with others.

Yes, we do need to hide Him in our hearts so that we can be a light that shines to those around us.

I went looking for you after the first weekend. I wondered if life just got busy and difficult or maybe you had decided not to do this again.
It’s nice to see you have continued the weekend inspirations. I enjoyed participating before.
