We all love feedback. We all love hearing, “job well done”. But how much more important to hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” from the God of this universe!
I’ve been meditating a lot on wisdom. Not the wisdom of the world, but true wisdom from the truth of God’s Word. I’ve been reading Proverbs 1-4 every morning. It got me thinking…
What if I searched for wisdom more than…
feedback from facebook…
comments on my blog…
pleasing people…
twitter…
my appearance…
my own agenda…
my social status…
fame…
fortune…
I go to great lengths to please myself. To get my own way. To gratify my flesh. But what of wisdom?
If we search after wisdom, we will have:
Understanding
Discretion
Guidance
Grace
Protection
Integrity
Deliverance
Power
Peace
Success
Straight Paths
Long Days
Healing To Your Flesh
Refreshment To Your Bones
Full Barns
Wealth More Than Silver
Pleasant Ways
Life To Your Soul
Blessing
Security
No Fear
Sweet Sleep
Confidence
Insight
Precepts From The Lord
Honor
Search for wisdom…
Hear it…
Treasure it…
Be attentive to it…
Seek after it…
Keep it…
Don’t lose sight of it…
Don’t forsake it…
Prize it…
Accept it…
Don’t let it escape your sight…
Gaze upon it…
Proverbs 4:20-27
20 My son, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
21 Let them not escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart.
22 For they are life to those who find them,
and healing to all their[m] flesh.
23 Keep your heart with all vigilance,
for from it flow the springs of life.
24 Put away from you crooked speech,
and put devious talk far from you.
25 Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you.
26 Ponder[n] the path of your feet;
then all your ways will be sure.
27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil.

I have been pondering on the same things. We do look for a fairly big amount of feedback in our blogs and social media, and I think at times is unconscious, and sometimes forget the real important feedback when we truly pay attention to His word and His feedback.

Such good words for thought – yes, where do I go most often? In search of wisdom? There is so much available in this day, and I want to be focused on searching for the things that matter most. Always needing reminders especially when there are so many things that call for our attention …
