When you choose to be obedient… in the small areas of life, be prepared for God to open and close doors. He is closing doors in my life, and a part of me wants to wedge my foot in and say, “can’t we just keep this one open?” He gently says, no child, trust me.
When you choose to be obedient… He will ask of you, are you really ready? Ready to trust me completely? In my weakness, I say… but Lord, I can’t. He gently whispers, you can, because I will go before you and prepare the way.
When you choose to be obedient, did you know, that it does not only affect you? He will move the waters around you, and move in other’s lives too! Are you ready to be obedient?
It is exciting…
It is a little scary… okay a lot!
It is the way God desires that He would be glorified in this earthen clay.
Step out, lean back, and fall into the arms of the one who will catch you. He will lead you right up over that hill onto the other side… where rivers of blessings will flow!
DEUTERONOMY 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”
Your Obedience Affects Others!

I had to giggle a bit when you wrote, “can’t we leave this one open?” I do that too. It’s not funny, but I feel like we understand each other in that tendency!

Thank you, oh so much, for posting this. I am facing an area of my life that really frightens me. I know God is leading me in a direction that to be very honest is NOT one that I would have chosen…still He gentle nudges me to take the first steps and trust in Him. Whenever I feel my assurance start to wane, I get encouraging confirmation that, yes – this is the way. Thank you for being the gentle nudge from God today.
Have a blessings filled Christmas and a new year overflowing with the goodness of God in the land of the living.

Beautifully said and so very, very true! I understand! He is calling me to do the same in new ways…calling me to follow Him as He leads in new directions. It is exciting…and yet very scary in some ways. It is hard to not be in control and know exactly what is coming next, isn’t it?
I will pray for you as you follow and obey Him…will you pray for me too?
God bless you, sister!

So very true. Obedience is often difficult for me, but I know that when I do obey I am in His will & that is the best place to be.
