Saying yes to God is hard. It takes dying to self. The self I love to pamper, puff up, and please. I say I want to put others first, but when it comes down to it, I’d pick me over you. That’s my flesh.
Saying yes to God’s Spirit wooing my heart? I want to jump and take a giant leap of faith, in the small choices life offers me. When no one is looking but my Abba Father. When only He can say, well done.
It’s the small things that lead to the BIG things. Small choices to obey instead of gratify this flesh. This flesh, that is so fickle, so fleeting, so flighty.
Are you trying and trying and trying to please your flesh? Stop searching. Stop dragging yourself through the dirt of this world. STOP.
Surrender to Him today. Whatever it is that you need to surrender. Find freedom and peace in Him.
When I say yes to Him… in the small things, He changes this girl who only wants to promote self… and all I see is Him.
What are you holding onto so tight? Release those knuckles white… you are missing so many more blessings. Release that grip and receive what God really has for you.
Ephesians 1:7-10: Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth.
