There once was a little boy who loved his Papa. He desired to spend every second of his time, being just like Him.
Soon it was Autumn, and he tagged along at his Daddy’s feet as He began to rake a yard full of leaves.
“Can I help Daddy?” the young child pleaded.
“Sure son. Here’s a rake just for you.”
The little boy raked and raked but didn’t accomplish much. He looked to His Father and tried to do everything He did. Soon he found himself jumping and playing and messing up His Father’s piles. He thought His Daddy might be upset, but He just looked down at him and smiled.
This is how our Heavenly Father looks down at us. Sometimes we think we need to accomplish things to earn our Lord’s favor. But you know what, He simply enjoys having this sweet time of fellowship with us… even when we “mess up the leaf piles of life.” His grace is amazing, and He loves YOU deeply!
(Story adapted from something I heard in my Sunday School class this morning at church. I thought it was such an amazing perspective.)

Oh what an amazing story. I love how when we mess up our piles, God still smiles!

So thankful that God allows us to partake in his plan..he could do it all without us, and so much easier, but he chooses to let us be a part of it! Love the fall!
