Have you seen these little red tablets? They are called Disclosing Tablets. You chew them, swish, spit and rinse. Any plaque or residue left on your teeth will show, front and center!
So if you say you’ve been brushing your teeth really well, this little test might just prove you wrong.
What about your spiritual life? Have you been in the Word of God? Is it changing you? Are you keeping yourself unspotted from the world?
James 1:26-27 says,
26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
If your spiritual life was washed in Disclosing Tablets, what would it disclose about you?
Would it look like this:
Or This?
Thanks for visiting!

Great parallel!! I remember the dentist giving me those tablets when I was a kid! And what a great verse too. Thanks so much for sharing, I love your reminders about being faithful!

ok, at first the picture of the tablets brought back HORRIBLE memories from the dentist as a kid….. But the message was important after I got past the original thought… :o)

LOL…great photos! I used to be a CDA and saw a lot of plaque in my day…on other people’s teeth. Very good analogy…are we keeping ourselves unspotted from the world?…love it! Isn’t God’s Word so rich and powerful? How can we hide from the TRUTH found within it? Might the LORD help us each to live according to it and for HIS glory!
Blessings,
Camille

I LOVE visual illustrations – well done, thank you very much! I appreciate the reminder to stop and check my spiritual connection with our loving Lord. It’s so easy to be busy, busy, busy, and not take time to keep first things first. God bless you and all you do.

I hope those are not your teeth?? LOL
I love how you take such simple things and turn them into a scriptural application.
