I had to wake Bud Bud (Carson) up at 5:45 this morning for his big day. He was such a good trooper. A little confused, but so happy. I was a little surprised because he normally gets a bottle right when he gets up. He could not eat/drink anything after midnight.
Here he is driving to the surgery center:
Checking out everything in the waiting room:
He was so good for his sweet nurse. She just loved him (of course!)…. haha. He was such a good boy as she checked his pulse ox, temp, and weight. He even gave her tons of smiles and a high-five!
They even gave him a brand new toy. He mostly made a lot of noise with it, banged it on the bed, and threw it on the floor (typical boy).
Do you see why I smooch him all day long! Ooooooooooooo!
Look how small he looks in his big “bumper” bed!
Snuggling with Mommy after he got his “cocktail” (woozy-med-combo).
Then came the hard part… they came and wheeled him off. I totally teared up. I know that this isn’t brain or heart surgery, but there is no stopping a Mama’s love.
He did good during the surgery. The doctor told me that there was so much thick, yucky fluid in his ears that he had to get a thicker syringe! This actually made me feel better that he got it all out. What a relief that must be for him!
He was not a happy camper for about an hour after surgery:
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
After a good nap and passing the anesthesia gas, he was back to his old self.
These are some pictures I took of the kids playing outside yesterday. Riley loves her brother, and was so happy to hear that he did okay.
Thank you for your prayers!
