Great reminders for me. Bennett is still so young, but I already find myself distracted, avoiding eye contact with him. Annoyed with his clinginess, etc., etc. One thing I have done is the hugging, kissing, and saying I love you. I am sad, because my little one doesn’t want to be rocked any more….total bummer.

This is such an excellent reminder! I always try to love on mine as much as possible, but I am definitely guilty of wishing my days away and playing the comparison games especially!

We need to remember to enjoy being mommy. I love your list! And completely agree with the reminder that we need to be their parents not their best friends! They need Mommys and Daddys so much!
My little ones are growing up so fast! Hard to believe the time flashes before our eyes!
Great post!

What a wonderful list! I think these ideas are so helpful no matter the age of our children. It’s often the little things – like making eye contact and smiling – that let our children know how much we love them.
